The Santhosham awards were given away last night in what turned out to be a sparkling night for many. Most of them had already guessed who will get what. Venkatesh was given the Best Actor Award for his Sankranthi . Charmi was given the best actress award for her Anukokunda Oka Roju.
Veteran director K Viswananth was awarded the lifetime achievement award. Chiranjeevi was given the most popular actor award by the fans. Alludu Ramaiah best comedian award went to M S Narayana. The most promising youngster award was given to Allu Arjun. Mohana Krishna Indraganti was given the best director award. Athadu was judged the best film.
Venkatesh also launched the Video CD magazine of Santosham at the awards night, which also happened to be its 4th anniversary.
Actors Akash and Raja, actresses Kamna Jethmalani, Navaneet Kaur, Gowri Munjal, Poonam Bajwa, Abhinaya Sri and Ruthika performed their best dance at the occasion. The dance of disabled Kutti was judged the best.
