Though two straight pictures were released last week, they could not win the admiration of the viewers.
Astram which was released with Vishnuvardhan Babu as hero has failed to impress the audience. Though the original Hindi movie Sarfarosh in which Amir Khan was hero had been successful, this remake Astram lacked the much-needed spice in it. It could have been canned in a better way. Director Suresh Krishna should have put in extra efforts in getting the dialogues pronounced emphatically, the trade reports say. But the enthusiasm shown by Vishnu to earn the image of action hero is commendable.
The prolonged second half was another cause of dissatisfaction.
