Director Venkat Prabhu based his hit film Chennai 600028 on galli cricket. Prabhu is now making a new film titled 7, also based on cricket and is about four friends.
The film has completed its first shooting schedule and is into the second schedule. Four friends go to watch a cricket match. While returning, they are caught in a traffic jam; what happens next forms the basis of the story. The film runs in a 24 hours timeframe.
Vaibhav, S.P. Charan, Premji Amaran and Siva play the four friends. Sri Hari plays a special role. Kajal Agarwal and Nikhita are the heroines. Yuvanshankar Raja will compose the music. The film is being made simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil. In Tamil, the film has been titled Saroja.
