Sharwanand got a big boost with Gamyam and he’s capitalizing on it by breaking into Kollywood with a film titled Naalai Namathey. The new film with an old movie’s title is being produced by a leading charitable organization Janaseva that runs an orphanage in Chennai. The heroine, a former child artiste who appeared in Bangaram, is debuting opposite Sharwanand.
Vinayan, a top-notch Malayalam director, who also made the Tamil film Kasi, will direct the movie. Bharadwaj of Autograph fame will compose the music. The film will focus on the plight of orphans, in a commercial package which would be accepted by all sections of audiences.
The movie was launched on May 1st and has already commenced shooting.
