Sarojadevi, the famous actress in all South Indian languages, will be honoured with a doctorate by Bangalore University.
The doctorate will be handed over to the actress in a ceremony to be held on January 6th. Rashtrakavi G.S.Shivarudrappa, the famous Kannada poet and Ruth Manorama will also be honoured with doctorates in Literature.
Ruth Manorama is the winner of Light to Livelihood. Dr. H.A. Ranganath, the university vice-chancellor announced the news to the media.
The University honoured Vishnuvardhana with a doctorate last year.
