Directed by Sival and produced by A. Venkatesh, Srimati Kalyanam (starring Sangitha) is being produced simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil. Producer Venkatesh said, “Earlier, I produced Sampangi in Telugu. This film is also on similar lines and has a very nice subject. We will wrap up the shooting by Vijayadasami. The character played by Sangita has two different shades and angles.”
Venu Madhav, Krishna Bhagawan, Raghubabu, M.S. Narayana and Sudha are in the cast. S.A. Rajkumar is composing some lilting melodies which sure to capture Telugu audiences’ hearts.
Recently, Sangitha essayed the role of a prostitute with élan in Dhanam and has once again proved her acting prowess. Sangitha has taken to playing heroine-oriented roles in many of her recent movies. She has been heard claiming that she would rather do one good role worth her calibre rather than be a heroine doing the same thing over and over again!
