It is well known that A.K. Ramana and P. Vijaykumar are dubbing the successful Tamil film directed by C. Sundar with the same name Rendu under the banner of S.V.R. Media with Madhavan, Anushka and Rima Sen in the lead. The producers say, 'Madhavan had earned a different image as an action hero through this film.

Coming to the story, Madhavan comes to the city from the nearby village in search of employment and stays with his relative Vadivelu. However, he could not find any job, but falls in love with Rima Sen. The latter, who failed to understand him in the beginning, likes his gentle nature later and starts loving him. At this juncture, Madhavan gets implicated in a murder charge and police arrest him. How does it happen? Why do the police arrest Madhavan? How does he come out of this problem with a clean chit? Answers to all these questions are depicted on the screen in an excellent manner by the director. Anushka had played a glamour role in the movie, while D. Imman gave melodious tunes to the songs.

"There is a good response to the audio released into the market. We are planning to release the film on March 2. Yes, the title represents the fact that this is a double role for Madhavan",they added.
