Ready starring Ram and Genelia, which was a world-wide hit, will be clearing the 100 days mark on September 26th.
Released with 141 prints, the producers put out more prints soon after release as the film became a runaway hit, bringing up the total to 195. Ready became an international blockbuster for 2008.
The film is being remade in Hindi by Nitin Manmohan and in Kannada by Aditya Babu. Initially, Genelia, who’s done a couple of Kannada movies, was to have played the heroine in the Kannada version as well, but due to lack of dates (she’s signed up a some great movies in Hindi), it seems like Kajal is poised to don the role. Puneeth Rajkumar might just do Ram’s role in the Kannada version, though it is yet to be confirmed.
The film’s producer Sravanthi Ravi Kishore plans to celebrate the 100 days mark by celebrating it in a gala event in October, coinciding with Diwali.
