Heroine Raasi quit films after her marriage to Srinivas. She produced a film titled Maharajasri with her husband Srinivas as director. But the film bombed at the box office and Raasi lost heavily. She later anchored a show on the small screen.
Raasi, who is no longer slim and svelte, has now agreed to play the role of mother to hero Sriram in a Tamil film which will begin shortly. It is a big surprise as Raasi is just in her early thirties and was seen played heroine in many films not very long ago.
