Pratikshanam, directed by Vyas and produced by Pallavi Srinivasan under Parinaya Creations banner was launched with a puja at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad recently. The film stars Rambha and Prakashraj as the major protagonists.
At the auspicious time, Raja Vannem Reddy gave the clap and noted director K. Raghavendra Rao switched on the camera for the muhurat shot and also functioned as the honorary directer.
While talking to the assembled media during the muhurat, Rambha said, “This is the first time in my entire career that I have a role in a suspense thriller movie. The director prepared a trailer single-handedly and narrated the story to me; I was so impressed that I agreed immediately.”
Executive producer Vasu explained, “We plan to shoot in Ramoji Film City until September 24, after which we will fly to Sri Lanka for the next schedule in October; we plan to wrap up the shooting after that. The subject revolves around a chain of incidents that occur in a day in the life of a young girl. Though it is a suspense thriller, the film will not have any murders or bloodshed but audiences will definitely anticipate each scene as it comes and will be kept on the edge of their seats.”
Mumaith Khan, Riyaz Khan and Sampath will appear in stellar roles. Camera is by Panner Selvam. The movie is also simultaneously being made in Tamil as Vidiyum Varai Kathiru.
