Director K. Ragavendra Rao’s remake of the classical hit Pandurangadu Mahatyam is getting ready to hit theatres on May 30th. The historical drama-cum-devotional flick stars Balakrishna in a dual role opposite three heroines -- Sneha, Tabu and Suhasini.
M.M. Keeravani’s music is expected to yield a musical hit on the lines of Ragavendra Rao’s previous devotional films like Sri Ramadasu and Annamayya.
About the movie, Balakrishna said, "The original Pandurangadu Mahatyam starring my father NTR was made 50 years ago. The movie’s producer was my uncle Trivikrama Rao.”
Sunil, Dharmavarapu, Prasad Babu, Ananth, Y. Vijaya make up the rest of the star cast.
Pandurangadu's audio had a unique launch at Lord Panduranga Swami temple near Machilipatnam.
The film’s producer, K. Krishna Mohana Rao of R. K. Film Associates, had postponed the film’s release from 28th May to 30th May for sentimental and auspicious reasons.
