Chilakalapudi is all spruced up to welcome the release of Pandurangadu, Nandamuri Balakrishna's devotional flick, on May 30th. The number of devotees visiting Lord Panduranga's temple has increased by 20% since the film's audio launch, said a priest.
The devotees have requested special pujas on May 29th and 30th. The sleepy village has a festive atmosphere; the villagers have planned a devotional procession to the theatre in Machillipatinam on the day the movie releases.
Not long ago, a similar incident took place with Tallapaka in Kadapa district. After KRR’s Ramadasu, the place became quite famous with the number of visitors at Ramadas Bandhikana at Golconda Fort increasing remarkably.
