Okanokappudu (Once upon a Time), Tollywood’s first ever hi-definition digital format film will be releasing on September 5th. The movie, directed and produced by Krishna Nori under Vinnchi Creations banner revolves around an experimental theme.
The hi-definition digital format helped the unit to shoot the film in a very short time span of just 11 days in August and it is already gearing up for release. Hi-definition is an advanced digital format, with which production costs can be halved. The hi-definition digital format gives a picture quality of 1080 to 1400 lines (compared to a picture quality of 2000 lines produced by 35 mm film), which is much superior to 16 mm film. Live editing, i.e. editing on the sets, is possible with the video monitor output being connected and a rough cut done on location. The cuts can be marked and implemented on the film after processing, thus saving time and money.
Bliss Holloway from Hollywood is the cinematographer; he has handled the camera beautifully and given excellent results, especially the song picturised for the music score by IIya.
Banerjee, Telangana Sakuntala, Shankar Melkote and Subbaraya Sharma are among the supporting cast.
