Sarathkumar is acting in 1977opposite two nubile heroines; Namitha, who will be a lawyer, and Farzana, who will be a journo.
Speaking about the film, Sarathkumar said, “I have acted with Namitha in quite a few films before. She is acting as an advocate, but at the same time she has plenty of room to flaunt her glamorous image. The film will be released in Telugu and Tamil and also some foreign languages. The film’s title is taken from the year (1977) that late Dr. MGR took over the reins of the State as Chief Minister, but the film is not politically-oriented. Three-fourths of the film was shot in Malaysia. The governmental bodies there were extremely helpful. I will have six different disguises in the movie.”
Ad film maker G.N. Dinesh Kumar is debuting as director through 1977, which is in the post-production stages.
