Popular playback singers Mallikarjuna Rao and Gopika Purnima tied knot at Appanna Kalyanamandapam in Simhachalam near Visakhapatnam recently. Both of them proved good singers through 'Paaduthaa… Teeyagaa…', a television programme organized by popular playback singer S.P. Balasubramaniam in ETV. Later, they became playback singers in the Telugu film industry.
Mallikarjuna Rao belongs to Gopalapatnam of Visakhapatnam; Gopika Purnima hails from Vizianagaram. Both the singers fell in love, convinced their parents and got united with their blessings. Relatives of both bride and groom, besides several other well-wishers, attended the marriage. Immediately after their marriage, the couple offered prayers to Lord Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy in Simhachalam.
Popular playback singer S.P. Sailaja, lyricist Bhuvanachandra, Chandramohan's wife Jalandhara were among those who attended the marriage. Besides, local MLC Daadi Veerabhadra Rao, MLA Dronamraju Srinivas, former MLA Pethakamsetti Ganababu also blessed the couple.
