The Mumaith Khan starrer Target, loosely based on the Hollywood starrer Basic Instinct, is getting ready for release in August. Sivabalaji and Shraddha Das are also starring in it. Sivabalaji will essay the role played by Michael Douglas.
Directed by debutant Ramesh Raja, the move has some great background scores by Koti. “Mumaith enacts the role of a novelist of crime thrillers, Sivabalaji is the honest cop. A hoary murder that closely resembles the murder in one of her novels takes place. Naturally, suspicion falls on Mumaith Khan and Sivabalaji steps in to investigate. The movie’s highlights are one hour of Digital Intermediate work, four songs and the climax fight between Mumaith and the main villain."
Launched in January 2008, the film was shot with a budget of Rs. 3.5 crores in 45 days.
