Going a step ahead of his arch rival Chiranjeevi who holds a stake in Telugu news channel Maa TV, collection king Mohan Babu is said to be keen to launch a TV channel of his own.
According to sources, the actor will launch two channels: a general entertainment channel and a news channel, to be headed by his daughter Lakshmi Prasanna.
It is heard that the huge success of Lakhsmi Prasanna’s talk show on a TV channel and her work experience in the US have convinced Mohan Babu that she can run a channel successfully. Mohan Babu’s son Vishnu, who has already started an animation and graphics studio called ThinkSmart, is likely to assist his sister in the channel business. More details are awaited.
