Marudhamalai is the movie being made by Swaraj, who was director to Sundar C. Oscar Ravichandran is the producer. Arjun is the hero and his heroines are Nila and Tamanna. Hima Khan, heroine of the Telugu film Pokkiri, has appeared in a dance number; Lal is the villain.
Arjun says he is happy with his performance as a sincere cop and the way this movie has shaped out. He says this will be his best film so far. The movie is centred around life in the southern districts of Tamil Nadu, and the language reflects this perfectly. During a fight and stunt scene shot in Mumbai, Arjun jumped from the tenth floor of a building; this will be one of the highlights of the film. Other highlights include the songs. Two songs were shot in Venice, and one in a special set resembling a market created in the old Binny Mills area in Perambur.
