Bhumika Chawla has turned to more performance-oriented roles after marriage. She has also been encouraged by the success of Anusuya, where she played the title role (as a TV journalist).
In Mallepuvvu, she plays the title role opposite debut hero Muralikrishna. Directed by Samudra and produced by Mohan Vadlapatla under Sri Samudra Silver Screens banner, Mallepuvvu is all set for release on September 19.
The director explained recently at a press meet, “The tunes scored by Illayaraja will be a special attraction for the movie. Like the fragrant fragile jasmine, the story penned by Ramesh Varma will be delicate and run smoothly.”
Bhumika has also bought the overseas movie rights for Mallepuvvu; the last update that Galatta.com received reported that she had advanced almost 50% of the price for the rights. This deal should bring her good profits and will help in the film production venture she has started with her husband Bharat Thakur.
