Re-recording is in progress for Maharathi, directed by P. Vasu and produced by Vakada Appa Rao under the banner of Sri Lalitha Kalanjali Productions with Nandamuri Balakrishna, Sneha and Meera Jasmine in the lead. Producer Vakada Appa Rao says, 'Balakrishna's image and story would attract all classes of audiences and could be watched with all family members. The scenes shot in Nainital, Rishikesh and Nainital areas would remain as a highlight. There is a good response to the audio, which was released recently. We are planning to release the film as soon as possible.' Jayaprada is playing an important role in the film. Navaneet Kaur, Naresh, Pradeep Rawat, Kovai Sarala, Velu, Ali, Jayaprakash Reddy, Rallapalli and Venumadhav are in the lead cast. Cinematography is by Sekhar V. Joseph and it is presented by Rangana Adiseshaiah.
