The shooting of Lakshyam directed by debutant Srivasu, presented by Baby Bhavya and produced by Nallamalupu Srinivas on the banner of Lakshmi Narasimha Productions with Gopichand and Anushka in the lead was complete recently and is all set for release soon. The unit members worked hard to make the film a big hit.
Speaking on the occasion, Gopichand says, 'Director Srivasu narrated the story with clarity. The family had all kinds of commercial elements besides good family sentiment. I have got a good opportunity to show my acting abilities in this movie. Especially, I liked the title 'Lakshyam'. Moreover, the film had the best music among all my films in my career. Manisharma gave fantastic tunes to all the songs and their choreography was also excellent. We are confident that the film would become a big hit and at the same time I am sure that I will get compliments from the audiences for my performance.' Anushka says, 'I have got a good chance to work with a good unit while doing 'Lakshyam'. I portrayed a role which would help the hero in achieving his 'Lakshyam' (target)'. Director Srivasu says, 'Shooting of the film was completed and post-production works are in progress. As the story demands, we chose a new villain for our film and hence roped in Bollywood artiste Yashpal Sharma.
The producer gave me a free hand while making the film without any compromise. I am totally confident on the success of the film. We will release the audio into the market in the second week of June and the film in July.' Popular producer D Sureshbabu says, 'When Srivasu narrated the story, I had a great feeling of watching a hit film. Though he is a novice, director moulded the subject well on the celluloid. I watched the rushes and it came out very well.' Jagapatibabu, Kalyani, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Brahmanandam, Venumadhav, Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam, Ali, Yashpal Sharma, Asish Vidyarthi, Devaraj, Ahuti Prasad, Raghubabu, Chalapati Rao, Ravibabu, Amith, Pragati, Vijaya Singh, Revati, Padma Jayanti, Baby Kalki Mitra are in the cast. Dialogues are by M Ratnam, lyrics are by Chandrabose, Ramajogayya Sastry, choreography is by Raju Sundaram, Amma Rajasekhar and Suchitra Chandrabose, action is by Kanal Kannan, Vijay and Ram Lakshman, co-screenplay is by Gopi Mohan, editing is by Gauthamraju, camera is by Sekhar V Joseph, music is by Manisharma, while story, screenplay and direction are by Srivasu.
