Karishma Katak, heroine of Shankar Dada Zindabad

Chiranjeevi is he hero of Shankar Dada Zindabad, which is the Telugu version of Lage Raho Munnabhai, produced by Gemini Kiran and Ravishankar under the banner of Gemini Film Circuits with direction by Prabhudeva. The film unit is busy erecting a set in Annapurna studios for canning of a song sometime next week. Generally, any film will begin after selecting the star cast, especially the hero and heroine. Though the film started shooting some time ago, the selection of heroine did not take place so far. The producers tried to rope in the Bollywood heroine Vidya Balan, heroine of the Bollywood flick Lage Raho Munnabhai. Nayanatara, Asin and Anushka were also considered for some time. Now, it is heard that the unit had finally selected a Bollywood star Karishma Katak as heroine. Srikant is playing the role of ATM, and Sada is playing a main role, while Devisri Prasad is giving tunes. It was planned for release in July.
