Here is the hot news about superstar Rajinikanth starrer Kuselan (Kathanayakudu in Telugu)! It says that Kuselan will not be released in Karnataka, as the chauvinist organization Karnataka Rakshana Vedika (KRV) is determined to block the release of the film scheduled on August 1, as a part of its agitation against Rajinikanth, who had come down heavily on Karnataka during Tamil Film industry's protest fast opposing the Hogenekkal project.
Earlier, Rajinikanth had warned Karnataka not to politicize the issue. Rajinikanth had also said; “Karnataka should not test our (Tamil Nadu) patience by not letting us draw water from our own land.” Sources said that the opposition against Kuselan’s hero will cause a loss of Rs 1.50 crore to distributors Pyramid Saimira.
Karnataka Rakshana Vedika had demanded an apology from Rajinikanth, failing which his films would not be allowed to be screened in Karnataka.
