With just two more days to go for Kathanayakudu’s release, there’s yet more news leaking out about the Rajni starrer. Insiders say that Kathanayakudu has been given a ‘U’ certificate by the Censors. The running time is 2 hours and 35 minutes, of which Rajinikanth is on screen for 60 minutes.
Jagapathy Babu is the hero; Bramanandham and Sunil have given superb comic performances. It is learnt that 18 prints of Kathanayakudu were despatched to the US from Hyderabad yesterday in preparation for the August 1 release.
Since the original Malayalam movie Katha Parayumbol, from which both Kathanayakudu and Kuselan (Tamil) were remade, was the highest-grossing Malayalam movie last year, expectations are very high.
The climax, which takes places in the last 20 minutes, has been said to be very emotional with both Rajinikanth and Jagapathy Babu giving their very best performances.
