Kalloori, produced by Shankar and directed by Balaji Shaktivel in Tamil with Akhil and Tamannaah in the lead is being dubbed in Telugu as Kalasala by M.V. Gopala Rao. The Telugu producer is well-known in film industry circles as 'Gopal from the production department' for the past two decades.

The producer ammounced, “The film was based on some real life incidents that occurred in Dharmapuri, Tamil Nadu. We find the love that occurs in a college, especially in second year students. The film revolves around love and friendship, among the greatest feelings in life. Dubbing was completed recently and mixing is in progress. We will soon get the first copy; we plan to launch the audio and release the film in December. We are sure that the Shankar-Balaji Shaktivel team will repeat the magic of Premiste, which was a big hit in Telugu."

Dialogues are by Sriramakrishna, music is by Joshwa Sridhar, lyrics are by Bhuvanachandra, Siva Ganesh, Sahiti and Vanmli; story, screenplay and direction are by Balaji Shaktivel.
