After Kantri’s release, Junior NTR has signed on the dotted line to star in V.V. Vinayak’s film, to be presented by Kodali Nani and produced by Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan under Vaishnavi Arts banner. Trisha and Tamannaah will be his two heroines.
NTR will also star in Srirama Navami, produced by Dil Raju and directed by Sri Vasu of Lakshyam fame. This is Sri Vasu's second film and will start regular shooting in October. .
The Telugu film industry as a whole harbours the belief that a director’s second movie never does as well as his first. The exception to this rule is Rajamouli; Boyapati Sreenu. Bhaskar too affirmed this superstition very recently.
Dil Raju and NTR are treading where other producers and actors have feared as they have accepted Sri Vasu’s second film.
