Power Star Pawan Kalyan's much-awaited Jalsa, which was to have been released on Wednesday, 2nd April, has been postponed. Now it will be released two days later, on Friday, April 4th throughout Karnataka. However, the film will be released on 2nd April outside Karnataka, in A.P., Orissa and abroad.
This decision was taken at the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce, which wanted all non-Kannada films to be released only on Friday.
Telugu film Jalsa's release on Wednesday 2nd April in Karnataka, was against this rule of the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce. Kannada films always release on Friday or Thursday. For a few years, some major Telugu films were released on Wednesday in Karnataka. Then KFCC woke up and made the rule that other language films must release only of Fridays.
Satya In love producer Ramesh had opposed the release of Jalsa on Wednesay and requested KFCC not to allow more prints than permitted by the rules.
