Vishal's highly-awaited Salute with Nayantara as the love interest, being made as Satyam in Tamil, is planned for release on August 15th. In his role as ACP, Vishal has taken great pains to portray a policeman’s hairstyle, body language and the nitty-gritty details of living the role of a cop.

His brother Vikram Krishna has consulted senior police officers on how to mould Vishal in the role of ACP, especially the stunts and mannerisms.
Vikram Krishna stated that 750 prints of the film will be released; this figure is said to be the largest number of prints released for a South Indian film so far. Rajasekhar, a journalist, is the debut director of this film.
