Homam’s audio release was organized in Goldspot Adlabs, Punjagutta over the past weekend, where film biggies like Ram Gopal Varma (RGV) (J.D. Chakravarthy’s mentor) and producer Dil Raju presided over the star-studded event. Dil Raju is also distributing the movie throughout Andhra Pradesh.
Homam, produced by Kiran Kumar Koneru, is the directorial debut of J. D. Chakravarthy, and stars Jagapathy Babu, Mamta Mohandas and Madhumita.
During the event, Jagapathy, who is riding high after the release of Rajni’s Kathanayakudu, stated to the assembled media, "I owe my current position to director Ram Gopal Varma. It’s his Gayam which boosted my career."
RGV complimented Jagapathy on his growth as an actor and also said that J. D. Chakravarthy was “the most talented assistant director” that he had so far worked with.
For Mamta Mohandas, it was very exciting as Homam is her second Telugu film. Though Homam’s release has been delayed, Mamta is keen to see herself on screen as she says she has done her very best in this movie.
The organisers also screened the trailer and songs of Homam for the invitees.
