Chennai’s Nehru Indoor Stadium saw the film fraternity gather together on Saturday to applaud each other’s achievements in 2007. Mohanlal created a buzz by arriving late, direct from Kashmir where he’s shooting his latest flick. Tabu, Venkatesh, Junior NTR and Nayantara kept the Telugu film fans ecstatic, Vijay and Rashmi kept Sandalwood’s flag flying high and Madhavan, Karthik and Suriya and Khushbu entertained the Tamil crowds amply.

Sekhar Kammula & Chandra S. Kammula walked off with the Best Film award for Happy Days. In fact, Happy Days swept the awards night with Best director award to Sekhar Kammula, Best Supporting Actress award to Sonia, Best Music Director award to Micky J. Meyer, Best Lyricist award to Vanamaali and Best Playback Singer award (Male) to Karthik.
Junior NTR walked off with the Best Actor award for his role in Yamadonga, Trisha received the Best Actress award for her role in Adavari Matalaku Ardhalu Verule, Jagapathi Babu received the Best Supporting Actor award for his portrayal of an honest cop in Lakshyam. Best Playback Singer award (Female) went Sadana Sargam for her song renditions in Munna, Best Debut award (Male) went to Ram Charan Teja in Chirutha and Best Debut award (Female) went to Hansika Motwani in Desamuduru.
And finally, the Lifetime Achievement award was awarded to Jayapradha by SP leader Amar Singh.
