Uday Kiran and Aditi Sharma star in Gunde Jhallumandi, for which only four songs remain to be completed. Aditi, who had already appeared in Black and White, the Hindi movie as heroine, was chosen after a heroine hunt.
Directed by story writer-director Madan, the movie is produced by Paruchuri Siva Ram Prasad. Madan's directorial debut was Pellaina Kothalo.
