Ghatothkach, based on a character in Mayabazar, is an animation film being made in seven languages -- English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Bengali.
Producer Suryadevara Vinod says, “This film will be the best summer treat for the children this year. There were 35 cameras employed for filming, the first time a technique like this was adopted for animation films shot in India. I am confident that the film will be released by May 23rd. The Telugu version will be released next week by T-Series, the Hindi version will be released by PVR Cinemas and the Tamil version by Ayngaran International.”
Ghatothkacha will be produced under Sun Animatics; story, direction and music have been conceptualised by the illustrious Singeetham Srinivasa Rao. S.P. Balasubramanian, Daler Mehandi, Sheya Ghoshal, Sudesh Bhonsle and Shaan have lent their voices to this project.
