Here is some good news: Madras High Court lifts its ban on Aamir Khan and Asin starrer Ghajini. Now, the film will release internationally on December 25th as planned earlier. It looks like the plaintiff, Mr. Chandrasekaran (producer of Tamil version), and the respondents of the lawsuit and the Ghajini think-tank struck an accord too. So, Ghajini is going to release all over the world on Christmas without any trouble. Geetha Arts, a branch of Allu Entertainment, is one of the producers of this prestigious film.
All the trouble started when Mr. Chandrasekaran, the producer of the Tamil Ghajini leveled up charges of copyright infringement on A.R. Murugadoss, Ad Labs, Geetha Arts Division of Allu Entertainment (the director and producers of Hindi Ghajini). He stated that since he had given up only the rights for Telugu remake, satellite broadcast, dubbing, and exhibition and distribution in Chennai City, the film cannot be remade in any other language. He appealed to Madras High Court, which issued an injunction against the international and national release of the film.
So, finally fans can breathe easy and look forward to witnessing one of the finest films of Indian Cinema – Ghajini!
