Genelia was herself, a bubbly young innocent, in Santosh Subramaniam. She’s making up for lost time in the Tamil film industry with her enacting the role of a naïve young girl in this latest Tamil flick. Genelia’s run of bad luck in Kollywood may just be over, as she has been deluged with offers in Tamil, Telugu and even Hindi industry.
The Telugu hit, Bommarillu, was remade in Santosh Subramaniam, with Genelia as the female lead in both versions.
A visibly happy Genelia enthuses, “I never knew that I could act so well until I worked in Bommarillu and Santosh Subramaniam. I am not insistent on heroine-centric films. If I bag a meaty role, I will grab it.”
The perky pretty artiste now has three Hindi offers on hand. These are the Hindi remake of Santosh Subramaniam stars Genelia opposite Harman, another flick with Aamir's nephew and one directed by Priyadharshan.
