The first copy of Ankusam, directed and produced by V.K. Vijaykumar Reddy under Pakhya Celluloids banner starring Srinath and Ritesh in the male leads, will be ready by September 25.
Producer-director V.K. Vijaykumar Reddy stated, “It is a family entertainer with action in the backdrop. It has all kinds of elements for mass audiences. We are going to launch the audio on September 25 and plan to release the film in October. We did not compromise on quality and spent heavily as per the demand of the story. It is the story of a wayward youth and a sincere police officer who join hands and save a family enmeshed in the mafia’s nefarious grip. Hence the story has action, entertainment and love too. While Srinath is playing the wayward youth, Ritesh is the sincere police officer. Sangeeta is the sincere doctor; Keerthi Chawla is the other heroine.”
Anitha, Uttej, Sriman, Jayaprakash Reddy, Rallapalli, Mallikarjuna Rao, Telangana Sakuntala, Anand Raj, Tirupati Prakash, Ponnambalam and others are in the cast. Lyrics are by Sahiti, music is by Manohar and cinematography by Amar. Editing is by M. Shankar and K. Itrish, while story, dialogues, screenplay, production and direction are by V.K. Vijaykumar Reddy.
