As the day draws nearer to the audio release of Rajnikanth's Kathanayakudu, the media blitz is increasing. The audio is set to release on July 1st nationwide. G.V. Prakash’s tunes are said to be absolutely brilliant and Punjabi Bhangra pop king, Daler Mehendi, has been roped to sing for the song, 'Oyam Zaarare'; with this song Mehendi will be singing for the first time ever in a South Indian language.
Shankar Mahadevan, Hariharan, Sujatha, Chitra, Sadhana Sargam, Shreya Ghosal, Kailash Kher and Prasanna V.V. have all lent their voice for this mega-production.
Superstar Rajinikanth stated, “I play Ashok Raj in the movie. This character will be a turning point in my career. I have always been overwhelmed by my audience’s reactions. I come in 20 different costumes for a song in this film and am very excited about the movie."
While Daler Mahendi's rendition of 'Oyam Zarare' will get the audiences grooving, another foot-tapping song will be featuring many major stars of the South Indian film industry.
Kathanayakudu’s audio rights were bagged by Big Music. The Tamil version, Kuselan, is being produced by K. Balachander under his home banner, Kavithalaya Productions.
This saga of childhood friendship also stars Jagapathy Babu, Meena, Mamta Mohandas and Nayantara in lead roles.
