Telugu Megastar Chiranjeevi, who is planning to launch his yet-to-be-named party, is now under pressure to form a new party at the earliest, as the former senior leader of Telugu Desam, T. Devender Goud on Friday launched his new regional party to fight for Telangana state.
Chiranjeevi is being urged by his advisers to launch the party immediately without any delay because the new party of Goud can attract people away from Chiranjeevi. Earlier, Chiranjeevi had planned to float a political outfit in August, either on the 15th or 22nd. But now, the changing developments at the Centre have forced him to redraw his plans.
Megastar Chiranjeevi is expected to launch his party in a few weeks. Presently, he is working on the details of the party flag and constitution. Actor Pawan Kalyan, along with his other brother Nagababu and brother-in-law Allu Aravind, are among the close knit team of advisers for Chiranjeevi. It is learnt that Pawan Kalyan will not enter active politics now as he wants to complete Puli and Sathyagrahi first.
Meanwhile, film actress and Telugu Mahila state president Roja recently expressed her intention to contest against megastar Chiranjeevi in the ensuring Assembly elections. In the 2004 Assembly elections, the actress had unsuccessfully contested from Nagari (Chittoor district) on a TDP ticket.
