Charmee’s latest is a heroine-oriented role in 16 Days, a film directed by Prabhu Solomon and produced by P. Maheshbabu and D. Nageswara Rao under Cosmos Entertainment banner. Aravind, who was Maniratnam’s co-director, is debuting as hero. A song was filmed recently for the movie at Annapurna Seven Acres Studio, Hyderabad.
The director said, “The film revolves around an incident that took place within 16 days, hence the title 16 Days was chosen. Bhaskarabhatla wrote the lyrics and Dharan set them to music. Chinni Prakash choreographed the song."
Charmee said, “The shooting will be wrapped up with this song. my role is that of an angel, something I have never done before; I expect this to be one of my best roles. The hero and heroine fall in love within 16 days and something unexpected happens on the last day.”
Chinni Prakash said, “I have choreographed a song in Telugu after a long gap. Charmee’s a natural dancer and was very comfortable doing some difficult footwork.”
The lyricist said, “The songs are all quite unique in keeping with this thrilling subject.”
Manorama, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Jayaprakash Reddy, Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam and Ramjagan are the supporting cast. Sukumar is the cinematographer; story, screenplay and direction are by Prabhu Solomon.
