M. Anjaneya of Tollywood is entering Kollywood under Siddhi Vinayagar Films banner with Karthigai. This film has two happening beauties of Kollywood – Malavika and Samiksha. Vikramaditya of Whistle fame is the hero. He has produced hit movies like the Nayantara-Naresh starrer Seema Sastri and Girlfriend. So his first venture in Tamil will surely arouse great expectations.
This film is based on the bond that exists between a father and his son and between siblings. Story and screenplay are by Veera, who also directs the movie; this is his first Tamil film. Veera, who directed Aaro Pranam in Telugu, starring Vineeth, Soundarya, and Vadivelu, is responsible for introducing Vadivelu to Telugu movies.
Music is composed by Deva; lyrics are penned by Snegan; dance choreography is by Ashokraj; T. Rajender takes care of the camera works.
The supporting cast of this film includes Suman, Kadhal Dhandapani, Suman Shetty, Rani, Satyan, and Srihari (a very famous hero in Tollywood and married to Disco Shanthi).
The first round of shooting took place in Bangkok and is almost over. The second round is slated to take place in Kodaikanal, Rameshwaram and Dhanushkodi. M. Anjaneya is spending lavishly for this movie to establish himself in Kollywood.
