The latest import from the West via India is Anita Udeep. Of Indian origin, Udeep has had the unique honour of working for a giant like Steven Spielberg’s Dreamworks.
She is here to direct a film in Telugu produced by Mayajaal Entertainment Limited and will start shooting in May 2008. The movie is planned in a big way and is all set to blow Indian audiences’ minds away.
With animated flicks like Sinbad Beyond the Veil of Mist, Pandavas, Alibaba, Son of Alibaba, Buddha and Gulliver's Travels (directed by Anita Udeep and shortlisted for animation film category of Oscar Awards 2006) under its belt, Mayajaal is hoping to strike gold with Anita Udeep.
Feature films like Bharathi, Nila Kaalam, Pandvar Bhoomi, Pammal K Sambandam, Whistle and the very different Little John are also from the Mayajaal stable.
Anita has also lent her voice to over 20 films with 'Azhagiya Asura' in Whistle topping the audio charts. With antecedents like these, the as-yet untitled film is sure to be a winner.
