Anandam gave Akash his first break and then he has turned director for Sweet Hearts. “It’s something that just happened, I had a story with love at the centre and the producers liked it.”
Akash, who had trained as a director before debuting as an hero, impressed producer M.G. Ratnakar so much that he gave Akash a break as director for Sweet Hearts under the banner of Devi Movies.
Now Akash is doing double duty as director and hero with Tamannaah, Suhasini and Daisy in the female leads. Another male lead is R.B. Ram. Choreographer Cool Jayant will assist Akash as co-director.
The shooting is going on at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University premises and almost half the movie is already in the cans.
