A joint action committee headed by Professor Kodanda Ram, decided on Monday to stop the screening of director V.V. Vinayak's action-packed mass entertainer Adurs, starring Jr. NTR, Nayantara and Sheela in the lead roles, after the film producer's (Telugu Desam leader Kodali Naani) controversial remarks against Telangana irked pro-Telangana activists.
Kodali Naani reportedly made some provocative statements against the Telangana movement and also belittled the activists for not able to stop the screening of the film. Kodanda Ram already asked Jr. NTR to give his clarification on the issue. Adurs, released on January 13, had garnered a first week collection of Rs. 25 crores. The unit recently held a success meet at the office of Vaishnavi Arts in Hyderabad.
