The Vishal-Nayantara action-cop film Satyam, directed by debutante A. Rajasekhar (associate of Suresh Krishna), has been passed by the Censors with a 'UA' certificate. However, its Telugu version Salute has been cleared with an 'A' certificate.
Sources say that the extremely hot song 'Chellame, Chellame' picturised on Vishal and Nayanthara has been greatly trimmed among the cuts given by the Censors. And it is heard that some dialogues have been muted. It is produced by Vikram Krishna, brother of Vishal, under the banner of GK Film Corporation.
However, Vishal is reportedly happy that censoring is complete and Satyam is now ready for release on August 14. "I'm very happy and contented the way the film has shaped out. The censors have been nice and they also acknowledged the fact that the film has a powerful message to convey," he was quoted as saying.
Vishal dons the role of a police inspector for the first time in Satyam. Kannada star Upendra is the villain. Satyam's grand premiere in Malaysia on August 12th will be attended by many Kollywood stars.
