Maharajasri opened to a below-average response but to the surprise of all, the film turned out to be a decent action flick. Raasi is the presenter and her husband Nivas turns director with this film.
Rajani (Rishi) is an engineer who runs a workshop. He designs a novel car, which can be easily driven by visually-challenged people. He sells the design to a foreign company.
He celebrates it with a party and comes across his childhood friend Neelima (Nikhita). He falls for her. After some wooing, she finally starts loving him. When she takes him to her brother Parthasarathy to seek his blessings, Rajani shocks Neelima by shooting down her brother.
Why did Rajani kill Parthasarathy? What happens next? Well, this is the scene just before the interval; the director manages to retain the suspense till the end.
Performance-wise, all the actors have done a decent job. But it is Sunil who steals the show with his comedy as well as a dance number for a re-mix song. Music is also okay. Director Nivas has given a good account of himself with his first film.
The film is a reasonably good action entertainer.
