The hype and publicity of the latest Jr. NTR starrer raised the expectations of audiences and fans alike, who expected NTR to come up with a big hit after Yamadonga. But the director has come out with an average entertainer, with story and screenplay that are not outstanding.

The film is about injustice done to the family of a rich, kind landlord (Mukesh Rishi). His son returns from the US to do some good for his village. He plans to set up a sugar factory and generate employment for the villagers. But, assisted by Ashish Vidyarthi, a back-stabbing family helper Potha Raju (Prakashraj) kills all the family members and escapes, taking with him the 100 crores (kept aside to set up the factory), but leaving behind his wife and young son.

Potha Raju (PR) soon creates a huge underworld empire. He makes about 1,000 crores by printing counterfeit currency and other illegal activities.

Kranthi (NTR) is an orphan. He stays in Premalayam with other orphans. Kranthi joins PR’s gang after helping them in some fight with another rival gang run by Sayaji Shinde. Kranthi meets Varalakshmi (Hansika Motwani) and falls in love with her at first sight. PR comes to India to settle some scores with his rival. During this visit, he learns that Kranthi is actually his son. So PR now shows affection towards his son and sidelines Ashish Vidyarthi. Ashish's daughter Tanisha is also in love with Kranthi. But Kranthi says that he loves only Varalakshmi. Ashish now walk out of PR’s gang and joins his rival Sayaji Shinde. Kranthi tricks PR and manages to grab all his property.

The film is an NTR show all the way. He is easily the best dancer around and he is also very good in the fight scenes. Prakashraj once again proves why he is the preferred choice for villain. Hansika fills the glamour role very well. The rest of the characters are strictly average. Were their talents downplayed so that NTR Jr. could shine better? You decide after seeing the film.

Music and songs are good. The first half is fairly good but Meher Ramesh incorporates too many twists and sub-plots in the second half of the film. NTR fans are sure to enjoy the film and confirm again that he is a chip of the old block.
