Raghava Lawrence raised a lot of hype about this film. As a result, people had very high expectations from the film. The film was expected to be along the lines of Mass, if not better. But Lawrence has not succeeded in living up to all the hype. Why? Because the storyline is very thin. At the same time,  the screenplay is strong and supports the film.

Suri (Nagarjuna) is an orphan since an early age. He encounters a goonda trying to induce some children to sell drugs. When one boy is unable to meet the targets set by the boss, the goonda tortures him.  Seeing this, young Suri kills the goonda. The orphans now join Suri and make him as their leader. Raghav (Lawrence) is one of them. Suri treats Raghav like his own brother. Raghav, in turn, loves Suri very much and works as his right-hand man. Suri, a good man by nature is called 'Don' by the public because he frequently helps people in need and keeps bad elements in check.

Suri falls in love with Priya (Anushka), daughter of Chalapathi Rao, who works with Suri. Raghav falls in love with Nandini (Nikhita). When things are going smoothly, an international don named Stephen enters the scene. Stephen now wants to extend his network to Andhra Pradesh after exercising his control on other states.

But, as expected, our good 'Don' refuses to join hands with him. Prdictably, Stephen does not remain quiet; he hatches a plan to kill Suri and thereby take control of the empire in the state.

The rest of the story is about how the two fight each other. There is some good suspense in the film just before the climax.

Performance-wise, it is a Nagarjuna show all the way. Nagarjuna plays his role with ease. Anushka displays a lot of skin; though her outfits are inadequate, displaying her rolls, her role is adequate. Lawrence is in his usual style and also attempts some comedy. Kelly Dorjee, as villain, is also a good choice. He is different from the regular Dons that we usually see in films.

Raghava Lawrence seems overburdened, taking the responsibility of too many departments. This has affected the film considerably.

December is considered lucky for Nagarjuna. It is this luck that should carry the film for him. Luckily, there are also no big banner releases till Sankranthi.
