In a village named Lingaraju Palem stays Srinu with his gang of 5 friends (Chinna-R.M.P. Doctor, Sivaji Raja-Tailor, Kondavalasa Lakshman- street vendor, Chitram Bhasha- Postman and Pruthvi Narayana- owns a hotel). Their only pastime is to bet on every thing and the money earned is squandered.
Srinu falls in love with Sita (Kalyani) daughter of the school peon (M.S.Narayana) .To win over Sita, he contests as the village's president. How Srinu wins the elections and his love too forms the climax of the story.
Though it is director Sabhapati's maiden Telugu venture he had crafted a perfect screenplay and novel narration. He has captured the raw earthy atmosphere of the villages and the film doesn't lose its tempo at any point.
The first half of the film is of a humorous then it turns serious and then sentimental as well. The performances of Jagapathi Babu and Kalyani are excellent. Chakri's music is a sure plus point. Cinematography by Sankar has captured the scenic beauty.
