Raju (Raja Sekhar), the eldest son, has to shoulder the responsibility of running his family of a widowed mother, a brother and a sister. Raju has to also repay the debts left behind by his father. He leaves the town saying that he got a job in Dubai and thereafter he keeps sending them money. Raju’s brother (Riaz) is now an officer in the excise dept. He is given the job to nab “Spirit Sambasiva” a smuggling kingpin. He traces Spirit Sambasiva out and realizes that he is none other than his brother Raju. The rest of the story is all about how Raju manages to triumph over his brother’s motive.
Raja Sekhar has done similar roles umpteen times; for him this role is a cakewalk. For the audience, this is yet another Raja Sekhar film with no novelty. The film is based on the Malayalam film Runway, inspired by Deewar. The remake by Kodi Ramakrishna is very bad and technically quite poor. Kodi is not aware of technical improvements in film making. Namitha, who comes as ladylove of the hero, has not much to do. As the film progresses, she seems to be adding a few kilos. Riaz as the brother, is the only person who has done a commendable job. Music and cinematography is a total letdown.
