'Satyam' – is technically well made and its one of the few movies in recent times that has a good casting, good music, and good cinematography. The film is very much urbane in nature. Director Soorya Kiran makes an impact with this film. Sumanth has finally arrived.
Satyam (Sumanth) is a soft and sweet guy. Everybody likes him. He adores his father (Malladi Raghava) and his girl friend Ankita (Genelia). Due to a row with his father, Satyam comes out of his house and start living with friends.
Satyam ghostwrites lyrics for a popular lyricist. He wants to be a popular lyricist before proposing to Ankita. A rich classmate of Ankita proposes to her. Satyam’s uniting with Ankita forms the climax.
Sumanth has the right looks and with good performance and dialogue delivery he clicks in the central role. After Boys it’s a different Genelia you see in this film. Soorya Kiran’s direction is good and shows him to a director of class but the climax reminds you of director Vikraman. Kiran could tighten the screenplay and made it move faster. Music by Chakri is excellent. Cinematography by Sameer Reddy and Raja is classy.
