Shriya Saran, Tamilselvi of the blockbuster film Sivaji celebrates her birthday today.
Shriya entered films in 2001 with the Telugu film Ishtam. She went on to appear in many Tollywood films and was very popular there.
Shriya made her debut in Kollywood with Enakku 20 Unakku 18 in 2003. The same year, she made her debut in Bollywood with her first Hindi film Tujhe Meri Kasam.
Her major break in Tamil came with the film Mazhai opposite Jeyam Ravi. Mazhai made her a popular face in Tamil. She then appeared in Thiruvilayadal Aarambam opposite Dhanush.
But her claim to fame was her casting in Sivaji with Superstar Rajinikanth. Even before the release of the film, Shriya became the talk of Kollywood. She was offered many good projects; by the time the film released, she was most sought-after heroine.
She also made a successful comeback in Hindi with Awarapan opposite Emraan Hashmi.
She is currently doing Azhagiya Tamil Magan with Vijay. She will begin shooting for Kanthaswamy with Vikram soon. She also has some interesting projects lined up in Hindi.
Shriya has also been involved with several social activities. She has taken the responsibilty of educating and meeting other basic needs of three young girls.
